ORDINANCE NO. 1740
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING CHAPTER 7.25 ENTITLED "APIARIES" TO
TITLE 7 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 7.25 is added to the Newport
Beach Municipal Code to read:
"CHAPTER 7.25
APIARIES
Sections:
7.25.010 Keeping of Apiaries — Prohibited
7.25.020 Violation an Infraction
7.25.010 Keeping of Apiaries - Prohibited. It
shall be unlawful for any person to maintain or keep
an apiary as that term is defined in Section 29002 of
the California Food and Agricultural Code in any
residential area within the City of Newport Beach.
7.25.020 Violation an Infraction. It shall be
unlawful for any person to violate any provisions or to
fail to comply with any of the requirements of this
Chapter. Any person violating any of the provisions or
failing to comply with any of the requirements of this
Chapter shall be guilty of an infraction.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
