HomeMy WebLinkAbout1746 - 35 MPH Speed Limit on Dove & Quail StreetsORDINANCE NO. 1746 ^� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH \\ AMENDING SECTION 12.24.040 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING A 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON DOVE AND QUAIL STREETS The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. Section 12.24.040 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read: "12.24.040 Prima Facie Speed Limit - Thirty -five Miles Per Hour. The prima facie speed limit on the following named streets or parts thereof shall be thirty- five miles per hour: Bayside Drive from East Coast Highway southerly and easterly to a point 1,000 feet westerly of the inter- section of Bayside Drive and the extension of Avocado Avenue. • Dove Street between Birch and North Bristol. Irvine Avenue from 16th Street to Westcliff Drive. Irvine Avenue starting at a point 826 feet north of Mariners Drive and extending to Santiago Drive. Quail Street between Birch and Dove Streets. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
