AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
PREZONING UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY LOCATED
• ON THE NORTHERLY SIDE OF SURREY DRIVE IN
CAMEO HIGHLANDS, IN THE EVENT OF SUBSEQUENT
ANNEXATION
The City Council of the City of Newport.Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. California Government Code, Section
65859, provides that.a city may prezone unincorporated territory
adjoining the City for the purpose of determining the zoning
that will apply to such property in the event of subsequent
annexation to the City. The intent and purpose of this Ordinance
is to determine zoning that will apply to the below described
property in the event of annexation to the City.
SECTION 2. The following described real.property,
which is unincorporated territory adjoining the City of Newport
• Beach, County of Orange, State of California, to wit:
A portion of Block 95 of Irvine's Subdivision,
._,located at 4700 Surrey Drive, on the northerly
side of Surrey Drive, northerly of Cameo High-
lands Drive in Cameo Highlands, as shown on
the map attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A"
is hereby prezoned to a R -1 -B District.
SECTION 3. The zoning of this territory as a R -1 -B
District shall become effective only if the annexation of that
portion of the unincorporated territory as described in Section
2 of this Ordinance is completed and shall have the same
effective date as said annexation.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
