HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-9 - Amending Chapter 7.04 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code Pertaining to Penalties for Dog ViolationsORDINANCE NO. 88 -9 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING CHAPTER 7.04 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO PENALTIES FOR DOG VIOLATIONS eThe City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1: Section 7.04.055 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows: Section 7.04.055. Penalty. It shall be unlawful for any person to violate or fail to comply with any provision of Section 7.04.020, 7.04.030, 7.04.040 or 7.04.050 of this Code. Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of said Sections shall be guilty of an infraction. Any person convicted of violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of said Sections shall be punishable by the fines as is specified in the currently adopted Uniform Infraction Bail Schedule used by the Orange County Municipal Courts. Section 2: The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall attest to the passage of this Ordinance. The City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once in the official newspaper within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. Section 3: This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting aof the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 28th day of March , 1988, and adopted on the 11th day of April , 1988, by the following vote, to -wit: 0 AYES, COUNCILMEMBERS Cox, Hart, Plummer, Sansone, Strauss, Turner NOES, COUNCILMEMBERS
