HomeMy WebLinkAbout255 - Santa Ana Avenue & Other ImprovementsRESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 2S_S RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, California, that the public interest and con- venience require the work hereinafter described to be done, and therefore theEsaid Board of Trustees hereby orders the follow- ing work to be done and improvement to be made in said city, to -wit: SECTION 1. The grading and construction of concrete pavement, con- crete curbs and granite concrete ornamental lighting poste, con - duite, wires and appurtenances for the successful operation of an ornamental lighting system and otherwise improving portions of Santa Ana Avenue, OceannDrive, twelfth Street and Fourteenth Street in said city, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 249, as adopted by the Board of Trustees of said City on the 20th day of August, 1923, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city. For further partioulare, refer- ence is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 249 and to the plane, profiles, drawings and oroee sections on file in the office of the City Engineer of said city and according to the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city and all of said plane, profiles, drawings, arose sections and specifications heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees are incorporated herein and made a part hereof and reference is herebir made thereto for a more particular description of said work. SECTION 2. The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that aerial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of - 1 - A i 4 Twenty -five Dollars or more remaining unpaid ibr 20 days after the date of warrant. For a particular description of said bonds reference is hereby made to eaid Resolution of Intention. SECTION 3. The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was in the opinion of a aid Board of Trustees of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the expense of said work and improvement has been made chargeable upon a district. For a particular de- ecription of said district reference is hereby made to said Resolu- tion of Intention. SECTION 4. That sealed bids for said work shall be received up to 7,30 otolook P. M. of the let. day of October, 1923, at which time said bide will be publicly opened, examined, and declared by this Board. The City Clerk is hereby directed to poet it notice invit- ing sealed bide for said work with the specifications therefor, con - epicuouely for five days, on or near the council chamber door of this Board, and to publish a like notice referring to the specifi- cations posted, or on file twice in the Newport News, a weekly news- paper published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose, there being no daily newspaper in said City.
