OF NEVPORT BEACH, A7ARDING THE CONTRACT FOR CERTAIN
P,hRK ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SABTA ANA AVENUE, OCEAN
DRIVE, T7FLFTH STREET AND FOURTEENTH STRFET.rITHIN
SAID CITY. .
The Board of Trustees of the. City of Newport Beach, do resolve as
follows.
SECTION I.
That this Board hereby finds and declares that eels 4/7�
Z is the. lorest, regular, responsible bidder for the

Per 6 inch concrete pavement, including grading, per sq.ft. - �• Z_
For 8 inch concrete pavement, including grading, per sq.ft.-
For concrete curb - per lineal foot
For ornamental granite concrete lamp posts, together with con-
crete bases and other appurtenances — complete each
For 3/4 inch diameter sheridized iron conduit with one No..6
lead covered cable on the inside of said conduit, complete
per lineal foot --------------------- - <0.55
For 1 -1/3 .inch` diameter sheridized iror_ conduit with two No.6
lead covered cable on the inside of said conduit complete

All other bids for said ^Cork are hereby rejected and the city Clerk
is hereby directed to return to the respective bidders all check4ccompany-
ing said rejected bids.
The work hereinbefore referred to is described as follows;

The grading and construction of concrete pavement, concrete curbs
and granite concrete ornamental lighting posts, conduits, wires and
'appurt.enances for the successful operation of an ornamental lighting
system and otherwise improving portions of Santa Ana Avenue, Ocean Drive,
Twelfth Street and Fourteenth Street in said City, all as more rarticular-
ly described in Resolution of Intention No. 249, as adopted by the Roard
of Trustees of said City on the 20th day of August, 1923, and on file in
.the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars, re-
ference'is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 249 and to the
plans, profiles, drawings and cross sections on file in the office of the
City Engineer of said City and according to the specifications on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City and all of said plans, profiles,
drawings, cross sections and specifications heretofore arproved by said
Board of Trustees are incorporated herein and made a -part hereof and refer-
ence is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
SECTION 2..
The said Roard of Trustees also determined and declared that serial
bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of Twenty —five Dollars
or more remaining unpaid for 20 days after the date of warrant. For a
particular description of said bonds reference is hereby made to said Re-
solution of Intention.
SECTION 3.
The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that the con-
templated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was in the opinion
of said Board of Trustees of more than local or ordinary public benefit and
the expense of said work and imrro.vement has been made chargeable uron a
district. For a particular description of said district reference is here -
by made to said Resolution of Intention.

The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to- publish oak notice of
said A�vod
ry ce in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and
circulated in said City of Newport Beach, and hereby designated for that
purpose, there being no daily newspaper in said city.
Passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Reach, this
day of October, 1923.
