A RESOLUTION OF TH CITY COUNCIL OF THE

The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
resolve as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the
construction of a bridge and causeway extending from the bulkhead
line between U.S. Bulkhead 'Stations No. 173 and 174 to.the
culkhead line between U.S. Bulkhead Stations No. 124 and '125, as
said bulkhead lines and bulkhead stations are laid out and shown
upon a Map of Newport Bay, California, snord ng harbor lines,
approved by the '.mar Department January 18, 1917, in order to pro-
vide means of ingress and. egress from the mainland to ghat is
commonly known as Parkinson Island.
That said bridge and causeway shall be constructed in
accordance with the maps and plans showing the location, extent
and character of said improvement, heretofore approved by this
Council and on file in the office of t1:e City Engineer of said
City.
That the City En €ineer of s ^id City is hereby authorized
to meke application to the United States ristriot EnEineer's
Office at Los Angeles for approval of said plans,and for e
permit to construct said bridge and causeway in accordance with
00 the aforesaid plane.-
