A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER

OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OF SAID CITY FOR STATE
HIGHWAY PURPOSES AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING

THE 'MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE
A DEED TO THE GRANTEE ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY.

WHEREAS, it satisfactorily appearing to the City
9
Council of the City of Newport Beach that it would be for the
10
benefit and best interests of said City of Newport Beach to
11
grant a right -of -way over and across a certain portion of real
12
property belonging to said city for State highway purposes, which
13
said real property is hereinafter described; and
14
WHEREAS, it further satisfactorily appearing to
15
said City Council that said real property hereinafter described
16
is a small portion of a larger tract of land, and that said
17
larger tract of land will be greatly benefited by the widening
18
of the State Highway; � Y; and

WHEREAS said ro ert is

WHEREAS, the real property proposed to be granted
22
is a small portion of a, larger tract of land and the widening
23
of said State Highway will greatly increase the value and use
24
of the larger portion of said real property; and

WHEREAS, said grant is made to the State of
26
California, and no consideration is asked of said State of
27
California for said grant in as much as the same will be of
28
direct benefit to the lands of said city and generally to the
29
City of Newport Beach.

NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That it would

of the City of Newport Beach that the following described real
property belonging to the City of Newport Beach and situate
in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, being a portion of Lot 171 of Block 54 of the
Irvine Subdivision as per map recorded in Book 1, page 88 of
Miscellaneous Record Maps, Records of said County.
Said State highway right of way hereby granted,
conveyed and dedicated is more particularly described as
follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the northeast corner of Lot °H° of
Tract 919 as recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book No. 29, pages
31 to 34, inclusive, records of said County, which point is also
the southwest corner of the 80 foot strip of State Highway right
of way as deeded by deed recorded in Deed Book 506, page 334,
records of said County; thence from said point of beginning
southeasterly, along the southerly line of the right of way as
deeded by said deed, along a curve concave to the northeast havin{
a radius of 840 feet (a radial line at the point of beginning
bears N. 470Z31 25" E.) through an angle of 310 54' 5511, a
distance of 467.90 feet; thence, continuing along said right of w:
line, tangent S. 740 211 3011 E., a distance of 1287.29 feet;
thence continuing along right of way line along a tangent curve ti
the left, having a radius of 1540 feet, through an angle of 140
021, a distance of 377.19 feet; thence, continuing along said
right of way line, tangent S. 880 231 3011 E., a distance of 206.5,
feet to a point which is the northeast corner of the parcel of
land as deeded to the City of Newport Beach by deed recorded
in Deed Book 249, page 423, records of said County; thence S. 280
571 40° W., along the easterly line of the last mentioned deed,
a distance of 11.26 feet to a line parallel with and distant 10
feet southerly at right angles to the last mentioned State Highway
right of way line; thence North 880 231 3011 W., along said paral-
lel line a distance of 201.35 feet to a point in the production
southerly of the radial line at the end of the last mentioned curt
and distant 10 feet southerly; thence along a curve to the right,
which curve is concentric to the last mentioned curve, having a
radius of 1550 feet, through an angle of 140 021, a distance of
379.64 feet; thence tangent N. 740 2113011 W., still parallel
with and distant 10 feet southerly to said right of way line, a
distance of 1252.22 feet; thence along a tangent curve to the
right having a radius of 906.33 feet, through an angle of 310
54' 55", a distance of 504.85 feet to the point of beginning.
be transferred to the State of California and that a good and
sufficient deed be executed and delivered forthwith to the State
of California by the City of Newport Beach, and the Mayor and
City Clerk of said City of Newport Beach are hereby directed to
execute said deed on behalf of said City, conveying and dedicati

to the State of California the above described right of way
and incidents thereto for State highway purposes.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 23rd
day of December, 1929, by the following vote, to -wit:
