The City Council of the City of dewport Beach
do resolve as follows;
SECTION 1-
It is the intention of the City Council to order
that certain portion of public avenue to be closed no,
vacated and abandoned for public street purposes; the said
portion of said avenue to be closed up, vacateu and abandoned
for public street }urposes is described as follows, to — ?pit:

8th Street, and the northerly prolongation of

Board of Trustees, dRted June 5th, 1922.

That the public work herein provided for is the
closing up of the portion of the avenue herein described in
Section 1, and it appearing to the City Council that there
are no costs, damages or expenses occasioned by or arising
out of sail ^ork and that no assessment is necessary to
pay the costs, da:k:.Les or expenses of said worn, and that,
therefore, no assessment district of lands to be affected
or benefitted by said work or improvement is necessary.

SECTIOE, III.
The Street Superintendent of the City of
improvement at not more than three hundred (300) Peet
in distance apart from said avenue and not less than three
(3) in all upon said avenue, notices of passage of this
Resolution, laid notice to be headed "ZOT'ICTE OF PUBLIC
',;ORK° in letters o' not less than one (1) inch in height
and stating the fact of the passage of this resolution, its
date and briefly the work of improvement - proposed, being
that of vacating the portioa of Bay Avenue herein described
and the said notice shall refer to this resolution for fur-
ther particulars; the said Street Superintendent shall
also cause a simila.- notice to that herein described to be
published by filur successive insertions in the Uevport ivews,
a meekly nerrsnaper, printed, published and circulated in
said City of Newport Beach (there being no daily ne:7spaper
so 'printed, pablished and circulated in said City).
SECTIOi: IV.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and cause a minute thereof to be recorded in
the minutes of the meeting of the City Council at ahicih this
Resolution was passed.
