RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN

REAL PROPERTY OF SAID CITY, FIXING THE SELLING
PRICE THEREOF AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE

MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE A
DEED TO THE PURCHASER ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY.

WHEREAS, it satisfactorily appearing to the City
9
Council of the City of Newport Beach that it would be for the
10
benefit and best interests of said City of Newport Beach to
11
sell the real property hereinafter described; and
12
WHEREAS, it further satisfactorily appearing to sai
13
City Council that said real property is vacant and is unsuitable
14
for use by said City, and is not now being used by said City,
15
and said City has no use for said premises; and
16
WHEREAS, said property is not any portion of any
17
waterfront; and
18
WHEREAS, an adequate and sufficient consideration
19
has been offered to the City of Newport Beach by Lester B. Edens
20
and Elda Edens, husband and wife, of Orange County, California,
21
for said described real property;
22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That it would be
23
for the common benefit and the benefit and best interests of the
24
City of Newport Beach that the following described real property
25
belonging to the City of Newport Beach and situate in the City
26
of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and

more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Lot twenty -six (26) in Block Nine (9) of

"Section One, of Reeubdivision of Balboa Island" as
shown on a Map recorded in Book 6, page 30 of Miscel-
30
laneous Maps, records of Orange County, California.
Subject to covenants, conditions, reservations and
31
restrictions of record.
Also subject to Improvement Assessment,, of

record.

be sold for the sum of $1500.00, lawful money of the United State
to Lester B. Edens and Elda Edens, husband and wife, of Orange
County, California, and upon payment of said sum to the City of
Newport Beach, that a good and sufficient deed be executed and
delivered forthwith to the said Lester B. Edens and Elda Edens,
his fm* wife, by the City of Newport Beach, and the Mayor and
Clerk of said City of Newport Beach are hereby directed to execut
said deed on behalf of saidCity conveying all of the right, title
and interest of said City of Newport Beach in and to said real
property and the whole thereof.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day
of October, 1929, by the following vote, to —wit:
