RESOLUTION AND ORDER APPOINTING THE CITY ENGINEER
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT..BEACH, CALIFORNIA, TO
PROCURE AND PREPARE CERTAIN INFORMATION AND REPORT
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE "SPECIAL ASSESS -
MENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST
ACT OF 1931," APPROVED JUNE 8, 1931, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, it is contemplated and it is the intention
of the City of Newport Beach proceeding under the improvement Act
of 1911s as amended, to carry through proceedings for the con-
struction of a wooden bulk head and appurtenances to protect
Channel Road and other property in the Uity of Newport Beach from
over -flow of water, said bulk head to be constructed adjacent and
contiguous to Block P of Tract No. 508, all within the City of
Newport Beach, .California; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the "Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest.Act of
1931," approved June 8, 1931, as amended, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach desires certain information and report with
respect to the proposed improvement;
NOV'I, THEREF(R E, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Engineer.
of the City of Newport Beach be and he is hereby ordered tofurnish
to the City Council of said City, a written report upon the pro-
posed improvements herein mentioned, pursuant to the provisions of
Sections 2 and 3 of the said "Special Assessment Investigation,
limitation and IuIajority Protest Act of 1931," approved June 8, 1931,
as amended.
That Resolutions No. 827 and No. 828 heretofore on the
4th day of June, 1934 adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach be and each of said resolutions is hereby repealed
and rescinded.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution and order
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of
August, 1934, by the following .vote, to -wit:
