3 WHEREAS, the United States of America, by and through
4 its proper authorities., has requested of and from the City of
• 5 Newport Beach, a lease on the following described premises, viz:
6 One 161 x 341 office building on City Pier at the
foot of Washington Street in the city of Newport
7 Beach, County of Orange, State of California; and
8 WHEREAS, the United States of America, by and through
9 its proper authorities,.has this day presented to the City
10 Council of the City of Newport Beach, a standard form of
11 government lease covering the foregoing described property; and
12 WHEREAS, it satisfactorily appearing to the City Council
13 of the city of Newport Beach that it is.to the best interests
14 and advantage of the city of Newport Beach that said premises
15 be leased to the United States of America, upon the terms and
16 conditions set forth in said lease.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the city of
18 Newport Beach lease to the United States of America, the
19 premises described in this resolution, upon the terms and
20 conditions set forth in.that certain standard form of government
21 lease dated the 28th day, of July, 1934, between the City of
22 Newport Beach and the United States of America, upon the terms
23 and conditions therein set forth.
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
25 Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be and they are hereby
26 directed, instructed and authorized to execute said lease
27 on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
