RESOLUTION NO. US—
RESOLUTION ON PERMIT TO LAY PIPE LINES
WHEREAS, the United States ofAmerica has this day applied
for a permit to lay all necessary pipe lines, conduits and other
equipment for the conveyance of water and dredge materials, over,
under and along the public streets, alleys and lands of the city
of Newport Beach, in connection with the doing of certain work of
improvement in Newport Harbor in the city of Newport Beach,
Orange County, California, which said work of improvement consists
in part in dredging and the repair, conditioning, reconditioning,
construction, reconstruction and extension of the East and West
Jetties in the city of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, said permit to lay and install all necessary pipe
lines, conduits and other equipment for the conveyance of water
and other dredge materials, for the purposes above specified,
has this day been granted by the city Council of the city of
Newport Beach, upon the terms, conditions and specifications in
said permit set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said permit to lay
and install pipe lines, conduits and other equipment for the
conveyance of water and other dredge materials over, under and
along the public streets, alleys and lands of the city of Newport
Beach, be and the same is hereby granted to the said United State
of America, its servants, agents, employees, contractors or sub-
contractors performing the work of improvement herein mentioned,
upon the terms and condt.tions specified in said written permit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk
of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby authorized,
directed and instructed to execute, on behalf of the city of
Newport Beach, a written permit granting to the United.States of
America, its employees, agents, servants, contractors or sub-
contractors, the right to lay, install and maintain said pipe

lines, conduits and other equipment necessary to convey water
and other dredge materials over, under and along the public
streets, alleys and lands of the city of Newport Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said written permit be
delivered to the United States of America, and to its proper
authorities, together with a certified copy of this resolution,
by the City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a meeting thereof held on the
_ day of 1934, by the following vote,
