2 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
3 of Newport Beach a certain Agreement by and between the Depart -
4 ment of Public works of the State of California, acting by and
5 through the Department of Public works and the City of Newport
6 Beach, a Municipal Corporation; and
7 WHEREAS, in said agreement the Department of Public works
8 of the State of California grants to the City of Newport Beach a
9 sum not to exceed $20500 from the $5,000,000 emergency fund
10 appropriated by Chapter 11, Statutes of 19380 Extra Session of
11 the State Legislature, for repairs and rehabilitation of outfall
12 sewer line between the sewage disposal plant of the City of New -
13 port Beach and the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer, Orange
14 County, California.
15 NOti9, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the terms of said
16 agreement heretofore mentioned be approved and that said agree -
17 ment be accepted as presented; and
18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor of the City of
19 Newport Beach be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
20 sign said agreement in triplicate on behalf of said City of
21 Newport Beach, and that the Clerk of the City of Newport Beach
22 be and he is hereby authorized and directed to attest the said
23 agreement and affix the seal of said City of Newport Beach there -
24 to, said agreement so executed to be sent by the Clerk of paid
25 City of Newport Beach to the Department of Public works, State
26 of California for their signature, and upon return of said agree -
27 ment duly executed by the Department of Public works, the same
28 to be filed.

30 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution duly and
31 regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
32 at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of June, 1938 by
he following voter to -edit:
