RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, ROBERT S. JOHNSTON and ELIZABETH C. JOHNSTON,

husband and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT
•

BEACH, the sum of $250.00 for Lot 11, Block 333, Corona del Mar,
5
in the city of Newport Beach, as shown on Map recorded in Book
6
3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
7
County, Californi4.; and
8
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9
as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Nevrport Beach
11
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12
property be sold for the said sum of $250.00; and
13
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14
and is not disproportionate to the real, value of the property
15
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
17
be sold to the said Robert S. Johnston and Elizabeth C. Johnston,
18
husband and wife, for the sum of $250.00, free and clear of all
19
encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1938 -39
20
and unpaid improvement assessments of record. Also subject to
21
conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. And the
22
Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to exe
23
and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon
24
receipt of the consideration above set forth.
25
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $25.00 be
26
paid to H. Ca.rdoza Sloan, as and for his commission for the
27
negotiating of the sale of said real property to Robert S. Johnstc
28
and Elizabeth C. Johnston, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum
•
29
being a fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale,
30
and said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of Nei -port
_

Beach.

1 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
2 Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
3 City Council of the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular
4 meeting thereof, held on the 18th day of July, 1938, by the
