A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
3 NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, TO FILE AN APPLICATION
TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THROUGH THE FEDERAL
4 EMERGENCY ADMINISTRATION OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR A LOAN
AND GRANT TO AID IN FINANCING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
5 CITY HALL, JAIL AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS APPURTENANT
THERETO, AND DESIGNATING THE CITY ENGINEER TO FURNISH
6 SUCH INFORMATION AS THE GOVERNMENT MAY REQUEST.
7 I BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Newport Beach, Calif -
8 ornia:
9 SECTION 1. That Harry H. Williamson, Mayor, be and he is
10 authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the
11 City of Newport Beach to the United States of America for a
12
loan
and grant
to aid
in financing
the construction of a City
13
Hall,
Jail and
Street
Improvements
appurtenant thereto.
14 SECTION 2. That Richard L. Patterson, City Engineer, be
15 and he is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such in-
16 formation as the United States of America through the Yederal
17 Emergency Administration of Public Works may reasonably request
18 in connection with the application which is herein authorized
19 to be filed.
20 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
21 Newport Beach, California, at a regular adjourned meeting there -
22 of, held on the 15th day of August, 1938, by the following vote,
