RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, a certain Deed - Highway Easement, dated the
day of September, 1936, from the City of Newport Beach,
a Municipal Corporation of the sixth class of the State of
California, to the State of California, granting, conveying and
dedicating to the State of California for public highway upon,
over and across all that certain real property situated in the
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and
more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
A strip of land 20 feet wide, being the Westerly 20
feet of that portion of Lot 5 in Block "M" of Tract No. 323 as
per map recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, as
conveyed to Ida M. Rudisill by deed recorded November 22, 1927,
in Book 100, page 153 of Official Records, Records of said
County,
was presented to the City Council of the city of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
Easement be granted upon the terms and conditions therein set
forth,and other valuable considerations, including the widening
of Highway No. 101 through that portion of the city of Newport
Beach known as Corona Del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said Deed- Highway
Easement, in the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport
Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy there-
of to the State of California, Division of Highways.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
