WHEREAS, a certain Grant Deed dated the
day of
September, 1938, from the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal
corporation of the sixth class of Orange County, California, to
EDWARD M. BUTTERS and FAYE BUTTERS, husband and wife, as joint
tenants, granting to said parties all that certain real property
situated in the city of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State
of California, and more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 2 in Block 733, of Corona Del Mar,
as per map recorded in Book 3, pages 40 and 41 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder
of said County, described as follows:
Buinning at the most Easterly corner of Lot 1, in Block
"M' of Tract No, 323, as per map recorded in Book 14,
pages 40 and 41 of Miscellaneous,Maps, in the office of
said Recorder; thence Easterly, along the Easterly pro-
longation of the Southerly line of said Lot 1 to the
Northeasterly line of said Lot 2; thence Northwesterly
along said Northeasterly line of said Lot 2 to the Easterly
prolongation of the Southerly line of the Northerly 50 feet
of said Lot 1; thence Westerly, along the said last
mentioned Easterly prolongation, to the Southwesterly line
of said Lot 2; thence Southeasterly, along the said South-
westerly line to the point of beginning.
Subject to restrictions, reservations and easements of
record.
was presented to the City Council of the city of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
Grant Deed be given upon the terms and conditions therein set
forth, and other valuable considerations, including the widening
of Highway No. 101 through that portion of the City of Newport
Beach known as Corona Del Mar.
NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
authorized, directed and instructed to execute said Grant Deed

that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the
Grantee therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed an adop ed by the City Council
of the city of Newport Beach at sm.A gu�l.ar meeting thereof held
