WHEREAS, J. HOYT UNDERHILL, a single man, has this day
3
• offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $300.00 for
4
Lots 6, 9 and 10g Block 335, Corona del Mar, in the City of
5
Newport Beach, as shown on Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and
6
42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; an
7
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
8
as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11
property be sold for the said sum of $300.00; and
12
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
13
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
16
be sold to the said J. Hoyt Underhill, a single man, for the sum
17
18 of $300.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the
taxes for the fiscal year 1939-39, and unpaid improvement assessments
19
of record. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservatio e
20
of record. And the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
21
and directed to execute and deliver a deed for said property to
22
the said party upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $30.00 be
24
paid to Gerald W. Ritchib, as and for his commission for the
25
negotiating of the sale of said real property to J. Hoyt Underhill,
26
a single man, said sum being a fair and reasonable commission to
27
be allowed in said sale, and said broker being a licensed realtor
28
of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
thereof, held on the 4th day of October, 1938, by the following
