WHEREAS, a certain Grant Deed dated the 27th day of
July, 1938, from Margaret Freytag, a single woman, to the
City of Newport Beach, a municipal corporation of the sixth
class of OrangeCounty, California, granting to said City of
Newport Beach all that certain real property situated in the
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
and more particularly described as follows, to —wit:
That portion of Lot 3 in Block "N" of Tract No.
323, as per map recorded in book 14, pages 40 and 41
of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Westerly line of said
Lot 3, distant thereon, S. 150 24' E., 10 feet from the
northwesterly corner of said lot; thence along said
Westerly line, S. 150 241 E., a distance of 40 feet;
thence Northeasterly along a line parallel with the
Northerly line of said lot, to a point on an Easterly
line of said lot; thence northwesterly along said
Easterly line to an angle point therein; thence North-
easterly along a southeasterly line of said lot to a
line drawn parallel with the said Northerly line of said
lot and passing through the said point of beginning;
thence southwesterly along said parallel line to the
point of beginning.
Subject to reservations, restrictions, assessments
and liens of record,
was presented to the City Council of the city of Nerrport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said city that
said deed be accepted upon the terms and conditions therein
set forth, and other valuable considerations, including
the widening of Highway No. 101 through that portion of the
City of Newport Beach known as Corona del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said Grant
Deed be accepted by the City of Newport Beach, and the City
Clerk be,instiucted to record the same forthwith with the County
Recorder of Orange County, California.
