3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
4 Council of the City of Newport Beach a license agreement dated
5 the 3rd day of October, 1938, wherein the city of Newport Beach
6 is the party of the first part, and George C. Hiner is the party
7 of the second part; and
8 WHEREAS, said license agreement provides that in
9 consideration of the sum of $1200.00, payable as in said
10 license agreement set forth, the party of the first part
11 grants to the party of the second part, upon the terms and
12 conditions therein set forth, the right to sell live bait
13 upon the pier opposite McFadden Place in the city of Newport
14 Beach, for the term of three (3) years; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport
16 Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said city
17 that said license agreement be granted to the party of the
18 second part.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
20 City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
21 directed, authorized and instructed to execute said License
22 Agreement in the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport
23 Beach.
24 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
25 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
26 the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
27 the 3rd day of October, 1938, by the fo,�lowing vote(, to -wit:
