RESOLUTION NO.�
WHEREAS, a certain corporation grant deed dated the
7th day of November, 1938, from the City of Newport Beach, a
Municipal corporation of the sixth class of Orange County,
California, to CHARLES A. BENNETT, a single man, granting to
said Charles A. Bennett all that certain real property situated
in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of Califo
and more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 5 in Block "M" of Tract No. 323,
as per map recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of
Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point distant 50 feet northerly
from the southerly corner of said Lot 5 measured
along the westerly line thereof; running thence
Easterly along a line parallel with the southerly
line of said Lot to a point in the easterly
boundary thereof; thence Northeasterly along the
easterly boundary of said Lot to the most easterly
corner thereof; thence Northwesterly along the
northeasterly line of said Lot, 2.72 feet to the
most easterly corner of Lot 4 in said Block "M ";
thence Westerly along the northerly line of said
Lot 5 to the northwesterly corner thereof; thence
Southerly along the westerly line of said Lot 5
to the point of beginning.
Subject to easement for State Highway.
Subject to easements, reservations and restrictions
of record.
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the said City Council of the city of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said city that
said property be deeded to the said Charles A. Bennett, for the
consideration therein set forth, and other valuable consideratio
including the widening of Highway No. 101 through that portion o
the City of Newport Beach known as Corona del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
instructed to execute said Grant Deed in the name of and on

behalf of the city of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk is
instructed to deliver the same to Charles A. Bennett, Grantee
therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 7th day of November, 1939, bl the following
