RESOLUTION NO. b
WHEREAS, a certain Grant Deed dated the 19th day of August,
1938, from Herbert E. Ruggles, a married man, as his separate
property, to the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal corporation of
the sixth class, granting to said city all that certain real proper
ty situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State o
California, and more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Lot 2 in Block "U" of Tract No. 323, as per map
recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of Miscellan-
eous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County.
Subject to all easements, reservations, restrictions,
assessments and lien of record,
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
deed be accepted upon the terms and conditions therein set forth
and other valuable considerations, including the widening of
Highway No. 101 through that portion of the city of Newport
Beach known as Corona Del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said Grant Deed
be accepted by the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk
be instructed to record the same forthwith with the County Recorder
of Orange County, California.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
an adjourned
the City of Newport Beach at / regular meeting thereof held on
the 14th day of November, 1938, by the following vote, to -wit:
