WHEREAS, a certain Grant Deed dated the 25th day of
June, 1938, from MARIE LOUISE SHERWOOD and LORENZO SHERWOOD,
wife and husband, to the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal
corporation, granting to said City of Newport Beach all that
certain real property situated in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly
described as follows, to —wit:
Lot 3 in Block "0" of Tract No. 323, and the
Northerly 20 feet of Lot 4 in said Block "0" of said Tract
No. 323, as per map recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41
of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder
of said County.
Subject to encumbrances, reservations, restrictions and
easements of record,
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for'the beet interests of said City that said
deed be accepted upon the terms and conditions therein set forth
and other valuable considerations, including the widening of
Highway No. 101 through that portion of the City of Newport
Beach known as Corona Del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said Grant Deed
be accepted by the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk be
instructed to record the same forthwith with the County Recorder
of Orange County, California.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
