RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, a certain Grant Deed dated the 16th day of
October, 1938, from Peter Mansfield, to the City of Newport Beach,
a Municipal corporation, granting to said city all,that certain
real property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, and more particularly described as
follows, to -wit:
That portion of Lot 5 in Block "L" of Tract No. 323,
as per map recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of Mis-
oellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of said
Lot, distant thereon, southerly, 31.20 feet from the
Northwesterly corner of said Lot; thence parallel with
the southerly line of said Lot, N. 740 36t E., to a point
on the southeasterly line of said Lot; thence southwesterly
along the said southeasterly line and westerly along the
southerly line of said Lot to the southwesterly corner
thereof; thence northerly along the said westerly line of
said lot, 50 feet to the point of beginning.
Subject to reservations, restrictions, assessments
and liens of record.
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
deed be accepted upon the terms and conditions therein set forth,
and other valuable considerations, including the widening of
Highway No. 101 through that portion of the City of Newport Beach
known as Corona Del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said Grant deed be
accepted by the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk
be instructed to record the same forthwith with the County
Recorder of Orange County, California.
