• 3 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
4 believes that the traffic patrol allotted to the County of Orange
5 is insufficient in number to properly police and protect the
6 motoring public; and
7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
8 ,further believes that lives and property will be better safe -
9 guarded by increasing the State Highway Patrol in the County of
10 Orange.

12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the State Highway
13 Patrol be requested to allot more traffic officers to Orange County.
14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a certified copy of this
15 resolution be sent by the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach
26 to the State Highway Patrol for its consideration.

28 2 hereby certify that the above and foregoing
29 resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
20 Council of the city of NewportBeach at a regular meeting thereof
21 held on the 3rd day of November, 1941, by the following vote, to-wit
