RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Netuoort Beach, a certain Grant Deed dated
the 19th day of February, 1943, from THERESA HALL BROWN, wherein
said Theresa Hall Brown grants to the City of Newport Beach all
that certain real property situated in the City of Newport Beach,
Orange County, California, described as follows:
All that portion of Lot 16, Block 9, as shown upon
a map of East Newport, recorded in Book 3, page 37
of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California, described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot 16, of
said Block 9; running thence southerly along the
easterly line of said Lot 16, a distance of 20 feet;
thence northerly in a direct line to an intersection
with the northerly line of Lot 16, said point of
intersection being 6 feet westerly cf the northeasterly
corner of said Los 16; thence easterly along the said
northerly line 6 feet to the point of beginning,
And, WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has agreed to
pay to said Theresa Hall Brown the sum of $35.00 for said deed;
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion and judgment of the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that it is for the best interests
of the City of Newport Beach that said deed be accepted upon the
terms and conditions and for the consideration mentioned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the said Grant deed
be accepted by the City of Newport Beach and that the City Clerk
be instructed to forthwith record the same with the County Recorder
of Orange County, California.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
she City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
let day of March, 1943, by the following vote:
