WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach granted to one Roscoe
L. Hart a certain lease on that certain real property belonging
to the City of Newport Beach and particularly described as
follows:
All that certain real property situated in the City
of Newport Beach, Orange County, California, and described as:
The Easterly 25 feet of Lot 6, Block 218, as laid out
and shown upon a map of Section A, Newport Beach, recorded
In Miscellaneous Maps, Book 4, page 21, Records of Orange
County, California, and a portion of Lot 4, Section 33,
Township 6 South, Range 10 West, S.B. B. & M., bounded on
the south by the northerly line of said Lot 6, on the north
by the easterly extension of the northerly line of Lot 4
in said Block 218, on the east by the northerly prolongation
of the easterly line of said Lot 6, on the west by the north-
erly prolongation of the westerly line of Lot 8 in said Block
218.
And WHEREAS, said lease was for a period of ten years
from and after the let day of August, 1939; and
WHEREAS, there is a provision in said lease to the effect
that the said Lessee should not have the right, power or
authority to assign, sell or transfer said lease or any interest
therein, without the written consent of the Lessor first had and
obtained and evidenced by a resolution of the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, and actually endorsed on said lease;

WHEREAS, said Roscoe L. Hart has entered into an agree-
ment to sell and assign said lease, subject to the approval of
the City of Newport Beach, to one Pearl C. Hartman.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the said Roscoe L.
Hart be, and he is hereby permitted to assign said lease to the
said Pearl C. Hartman.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
resolution be attached to both copies of said lease, one held by
the City of Newport Beach and the other by Roscoe L. Hart.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEiithat the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby authorized, directed and instructed to execute,
on behalf of the City of Newport Beach the assignment attached to
said lease.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held
on the let day of Margin, 1943, by the following vote, to —wit:
