2 WHEREAS, Eugene H. Marcus and Velva D. Marcus, husband
3 and wife, have this day offered to the City of Newport Beach, the
. 4 sum of 0800.00 for Lots 8 and 9, Tract 884, in the City of Newport
5 Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 30, pages 11 and 12 of
6 Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; and
7 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as
8 and for the purchase price of said lots; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11 property be sold for the said sum of $800.00; and
12 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate and
13 not disproportionate to the real value of the property above -
14 described.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
16 sold to the said Eugene H. Marcus ami Velva D. Marcus, husband
17 and wife, for the sum of 0800.00, free and clear of all
18 encumbrances, subject to the second half of the taxes for the
19 fiscal year 1942 -1943, and unpaid improvement assessments of
20 record. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations
21 of record. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
22 directed to execute and deliver a deed for said property to the
23
said above -named parties upon receipt of the consideration above
24
set forth.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
26
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
27
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
28
the 79th day of April, 1943, by the following vote, to -wit:
