RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
.

Council of the City of Newport Beach a license agreement dated
5
the 3rd day of May, 1943, wherein the City of Newport Beach is
6
the party of the first part, and George 0. Hiner is party of the
7
second part; and

WHEREAS, said license agreement provides that in con -
9
sideration of the sum of $1000.00 payable as in said license
10
agreement set forth, the first party grants to the second party,
11
upon the terms and conditions therein set forth, the right to
12
sell live bait upon the pier opposite McFadden Place in the city
13
Of Newport Beach, for the term of three years; and
14
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
15
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
16
license agreement be granted to the second party.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
18
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
19
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said license
20
agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport
21
Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
23
was duly and regularly gu y passed and adopted by the City Council of
24
adjourned
the City of Newport Beach at an /regular meeting thereof held on
25
the2ke day of *Jr, 1943, by the following vote, to —wit:
