WHEREAS, FLOYD F. SHERMAN and HELEN G. SHERMAN, husband

and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the

sum of 250.00 for Lot 8, Block 742, Corona del Mar, in the City
5
6 of Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41
7 land 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California;
and
8
9 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
10 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property be sold for the said sum of $250.00; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
15 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16 above described.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT REILVED: That said property be
18 sold to the said Floyd F. Sherman and Helen G. Sherman, husband and
19 wife, for the sum of $250.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
20 subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1943 -44. Also subject to
21 .conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor
22 and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
23 and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon
24 receipt of the consideration above set forth.
25 I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $62.50 be paid
26 to Hal Will Smith, as and for his commission for the negotiating
�7 of the sale of said real property to FLOYD F. SHERMAN and Helen G.
28 (Sherman, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
29 reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
30 being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

the 3rd day of May, 1943, by the following vote, to -wit:
