3 WHEREAS, JOHN W. NOREK, Jr. and ERMA L. NOREK, husband
4 and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the
•5 sum of $700.00 for Lots 18 and 19, Block 17, Section B, in the City
6 of Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, page 27 of
7 Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lots; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $700.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 sold to the said John W. Norsk, Jr. and Erma L. Norsk, husband and
18 wife, for the sum of $700.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
19 subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1943 -44 and unpaid
20 improvement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions,
21 restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
22 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver
23 a deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the
24 consideration above set forth.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $70.00 be paid
26 to H. M. Lane, as and for his commission for the negotiating of
27 the sale of said real property to John W. Norsk, Jr. and Erma L.
28 Norsk, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
29 reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
• 30 being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.
31 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
32 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
