RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
has heretofore fixed the first Monday of each month at the hour
of four o'clock P. M. of said days, for the holding of regular
meetings of the City Council of said city; and
WHEREAS, no provision has heretofore been made relative
to meeting on 1gal holidays and by reason of that fact many
regular meetings are held on legal holidays, which causes in-
convenience to a majority of the members of the city council
as well as those attending said meetings, and leads to confusion
and misunderstanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the regular meetings
of the City Council of the city of Newport Beach will from and
after the passage of this resolution be held on the first Mondays
of each month hereafter at the hour of four o'clock P. M. of said
days, at the Council chambers of the city council of the city
of Newport Beach, located in the City Hall of said city of
Newport Beach, except when said first Monday shall hereafter
fall on a legal holiday; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no regular meetings of the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach shall be held on a
legal holiday from and after the passage of this resolution,
and when the first Monday of the month, the time set for the
holding of said meetings, shall fall on a legal holiday, such
regular meeting shall be held the next day, at the hour of
four o'clock P. M. of said following day, at the Council
Chambers of the City Council of the city of Newport Beach,
located in the City Hall of the city of Newport Beach,
California.
