WHEREAS, ANNA E. CLARKE, an unmarried woman, has this

day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $475.00 for
4
Lots 19 and 21, Block 541, Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport
5
Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of
6
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
7
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as
8
and for the purchase price of said lots; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10
deems that it is for the beat interests of said City that said
11
property be sold for the said sum of $475.00; and
12
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
13
and is not disproportunate to the real value of the property
14
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
16
sold to the said Anna E. Clarke, an unmarried woman, for the sum
17
of $475.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the
18
19 taxes for the fiscal year 1943 -44. Also subject to conditions,
20 restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver
21
a deed for said property to the said party upon receipt of the
22
consideration above set forth.

24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $118.75 be paid
to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the negotiating
25
26 of the sale of said real property to Anna E. Clarke, an unmarried
27 woman, said sum being a fair and reasonable commission to be
28 allowed in said sale, and said broker being a licensed realtor of
29 the City of Newport Beach.
30 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
31 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of

the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 7th day of September, 1943, by the following vote, to -wit:
