2 WHEREAS, GERHARDT T. STERLING and SUDIE A. STERLING,

and wife, have this
day offered to the
CITY OF NEWPORT

the sum of $1600.00
for Lots 8, 16, 18,
and SWly 15 feet

4 and 6, Block 742;
all in Corona del

the City of Newport
Beach, as shown on
a Map recorded

in Book
3, pages 41 and 42
of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of

Orange
County, California;
and

WHEREAS, the said
price is a fair and
adequate price as
10 and for the p urchaseprice of said lots; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems thatit is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property besold for the said sum of $1600.00; and

WHEREAS, the price
offered is
just,
fair and adequate

and is not disproportionate
to the real
value
of the property
16 11 above described.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
18 sold to the said Gerhardt T. Sterling and Sudie A. Sterling,
19 husband and wife, for the sum of $1600.00, free and clear of all
20 encumbrances, subject to She taxes for the fiscal year 1943 -44.
21 Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations of record
22 The Mayor and the City Clerk arehereby authorized and directed to
23 execute and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties
24 upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $275.00 be paid
26 to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the negotiating
27 of the sale of said real property to Gerhardt T. Sterling and Sudie
28 A. Sterling, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
29 reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
30 being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

32 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
