WHEREAS, CATHARINE M. MILLER,a married woman, has this

day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $300.00 for

Lot 12, Block 638, Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach,
5
Map 3, pages 41 and 42 of
as shown on a Ma recorded in Book
6
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
7
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
8
as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11
property be sold for the said sum of 300.00; and

WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
13
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
16
sold to the said Catharine M. Miller, a married woman, for the sum
17
of $300.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the
18
taxes for the fiscal year 1943 -44. Also subject to conditions,
19
restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
20
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a
21
deed for said property to the said party upon receipt of the
22
consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $50.00 be paid
24
to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the negotiating
25
of the sale of said real property to Catharine M. Miller, a married
26
woman, as her separate property, said sum being a fair and reasonab
27
commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker being a
28
licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
30
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of

the 7th day of September, 1943, by the following vote, to -wit:
