3 WHEREAS, GLEN 0. MARTIN, a married man, has this day
4 offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $200.00 for Lot 7,
5 Block 536, Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown
6 ion a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps,
7 records of Orange County, California; and
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as
9 and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $200.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property above
15 described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 sold to the said Glen 0. Martin, a married man, for the sum of
18 $200.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes
19 for the fiscal year 1943 -44. Also subject to conditions, re-
20 strictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
21 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a
22 deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the
23 consideration above set forth.
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $50.00 be paid
25 to W. J. Holcomb, as and forhis commission for the negotiating of
26 the sale of said real property to Glen 0. Martin, a married man,
27 as his separate property, said sum being a fair and reasonable
28 commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker being a
29 licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.
