WHEREAS, OSCAR C. BROWN and WINIFRED M. BROWN, husband

and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the

sum of $925.00 for Lot 1, Block 639; Lots 13, 15 and 17, Block
5
739s all in Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as
6

shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneou
8
Maps, records of Orange County] California; and
9
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
10
as and for the purchase price of said lots; and
11
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13
property be sold for the said sum of $925.00; and
14
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
15
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
18
sold to the said Oscar C. Brown and Winifred M. Brown, husband and
19
wife, for the sum of $925.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
20
subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1943 -44. Also subject to
21
conditions, restrictions andreservations of record. The Mayor and
22
the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and
23
deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt
24
of the consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $231.25 be paid
26
to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the negotiating
27
of the sale of said real property to Oscar C. Brown and Winifred
28
M. Brown, his wife, as joint tenaagg,said sum being a fair and
29
reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
30
being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution

was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
