WHEREAS, HERBERT F. PETERSON and MYRTLE C. PETERSON,

4 husband and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT
5 BEACH, the sum of $437.50 for Lot 21 and NEly 15 feet of Lot 19,
6 Block 542, Corona del Mar, in the City ofNewport Beach, as shown
7 on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps,
8 records of Orange County, California; and
9 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as
10 and for the purchase price of said lots; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests ofsaid City that said
13 property be sold for the said sum of $437.50; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is gust, fair and adequate
15 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
above described.

17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
18 sold to the said Herbert F. Peterson and Myrtle C. Peterson,
19 husband and wife, for the sum of $437.50, free and clear of all
20 encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1943 -44.
21 Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations of record
22 The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
23 execute and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties
24 upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $75.00 be paid
26 to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the negotiating
27 of the sale of said real property to Herbert F. Peterson and Myrtle
28 C. Peterson, his wife, as point tenants, said sum being a fair and
29 reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
30 being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.
31 I hereby certify that the above andforegoing Resolution
32 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of

the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 7th day of September, 1943, by the following vote, to -wit:
