3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
4 City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement
5 between the City of Newport Beach, as party of the first part,
6 and DR. C. E. PRICE AND SONS, a copartnership, of Orange County,
7 California, as party of the second part, said agreement being
8 dated as of the day of April, 1947; and
9 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of
10 the second part has been awarded the contract by the party of
11 the first part for the sale and disposal of garbage of the City
12 of Newport Beach for a period of three (3) years from :,ay 1st,
13 1947, and ending as of the 30th day of April, 1950, upon the
14 terms, covenants and conditions, and for the consideration in said
15 agreement specifically set forth; and
16 1.7I1EREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Be<^ch
17 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
18 contract be awarded to the said party of the second part upon the
19 terms and conditions therein specified.
20 NO ".', THHREFM2, BE IT RESOLVED: That the slayor and
21 City Clerk of the City of Newn ort Beach be, and they are, hereby
22 directed,_instructed and authorized to execute said a .-reement
23 in the name of and on behalf of the City of Nei— ort Beach, and that
24 the City Clerk deliver a duiy executed copy thereof to the party
25 of the second part.
