WHEREAot it h*A become necessary to designate the pro-

per officers of the City`b Newport Beach to sign checks* drafts,

or other orders for the payment of money drawn in the City's

name; and

WHEREhSj it is deemed to be for the best interests of

the citizens of the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City
7
Clerk be authorized to sign such documents by facsimile signatures
8
NOW9 THEREF011E, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Bank of America
9
National Trust and Savings Association, as a designated depositary
10
of this City bey and it (including its correspondent banks) is
11
hereby requested, authorized and directed to honor all checks,
12
draftsq or other orders for the payment of money drawn in the
13
name of the City on its commercial accounts (including those
14
drawn to the individual order of any person or persons whose
15
names appear thereon as signer or signers thereof) when bearing
is
or purporting to bear two facsimile signatures of the Mayor and
17
City Clerk as follows: Dora Q. Hill _Mayor
18
C. K. Priest City Clerk
19
and the Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association
20
(including its correspondent banks) shall be entitled to honor
21
and to charge for all such checks, drafts or other orders for
22
the payment of money, regardless of by whom or by what means the
23
actual or purported facsimile signature or signatures thereon may
24
have been affixed thereto, if such facsimile signature or sig-
25
natures resemble the facsimile speciman from time to time filed
26
with the Hank of America National Trust and &avings Association
27
by the City Clerk; and

BE IT FURTHLR RESOLVED: That all previous authoriza-
29
tions for the signing and honoring of checksy drafts or other
30
orders for the payment of money drawn on the said Bank of America
31
National Trust and Savings Association by this City are hereby
32
terminated and cancelled.

of the 4ity of Newport Beach. a municipal corporation of the
6th Class, organized and existing under the Laws of the State of
California, do hereby* certify that at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City, duly held on the 26th day of April,
1954) at which the entire Council was present and voting through-
out, the above Resolution was adopted and is now in full force
and effect, and was adopted by the following vote, to wit:
