WHosRFAS3, it appears to the City Council of the City of

port Beach that the Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce, a non-
profit corporation, by reason of Ito facilities for the dissemi-
nation of Information concerning the City of Newport Beach, is an
appropriate medium for the advertising and promotion of the City
of Newport Beach; and
WRVAEAS9 said Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce is
willing to act as the advertising went of the City of Newport
Beach in consideration of the payment by the City of Newport Beach
to said Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce, of the sum of 010000.0
per month; and
WULAEA1, the payment of said sum is cow6neurate with
the services to be performed by said Newport Harbor Chamber of
Commerce; and
WHEIALASO it appearo for the beet interest of the City
of Newport Beach that an agreement be entered Into for said pur-
pose;

City of Newport Beach and the City Clerk of the City of Newport,
Beach be and they hereby are authorized and directed to enter
Into an Agreement in writing in the form approved by the City
Attorney, by and between the Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce,
a non - profit corporation, and the City of Newport Seaoh, wherein
and whereby for and in oonsideration of payment by said City
of Newport Beach to said aorrtorz.tion of the suet of 81.000.00
commencing with the month of July, 1954, and the sum of $1,000.00
oo the first day of huguat, 1954, and a like sum of 21,000.00 on
the lot day of each And every month thereafter until and inoludin
the let day of June, 1953. aaid corporation shall not as the
advertising agent of said City and sflall prepare and dleneminste,
at the expense of said eorporntion, desoriptive literature and
other material publicizing the City of Newport Beach for a period
