of October, 1954, pass its certainiiesol.ution of Intention
ho. 4273, declaring its intention to order the closing up, vaca-
tion and abandonment of that certain alley in the City of Newport
Beach, hereinafter more particularly ciescribeCp pursuant to and
in accordance with the "Street Vacation Act of 1941" and all
amendments thereto, being sections 63CC through 8331 of the Gal1T
fornia :streets and Highways Code; and
#fEEifsriti, the Street Superintendent of the City of L'owport
�3each has caused to ue hosted crospicuousl.y along the saie alley
to be vacated, not more than 30C feet apart, and not less than 3
in all, notices of the vacation of said certain alley, all of•
which wd.11 more fully appear from the affidavit of L. w. Covert.,
the said atreet Superintendent of the City of Pewport Beach, on
file in these proceedings; and
WILRt:AS, said notices so posted by the Ltreet Superin-
tendent of the City of Newport Beach stated the preparation of
said Resolution of Intention Igo. 4273 aforesaid, ana the date and
place of the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting
to the proposed vacation of said certain alley; and

by said Resolution of Intention l,o. 4278, aforesaid, did fix
Monday, the 22nd day of November, 19;4, at the hour of 7:3C P.m•
of said day as the time, and the Council Chambers of the Clay
Council of the City of Newport Beach, located in the City Mail of
the City of Newport Leach, as the place, for the hearing of all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of
said certain alley; Fnd

made more than 15 days prior to the mate set for the hearing of
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation,
all of which will more fully Appear by the affidavit of arvo E.
Haapa, printer and publisher,of said report harbor Disl n, on

has heard the evidence, both l.ritten and verbal, of all persons
interested in the vacation of said certain alley in this Resolu-
tion more particularly hereinafter described, and finds from all
the evidence submitted that said certain alley described in said
Resolution of Intention, and hereinafter described, is unnecessary
for present or prospective public street or alley purposes:
X", THWIEFORLj the City Council of the City of Newport
Eieuch finds and determines and hereby, orders that the following
I described certain alley in the City of Newport Beach, described
as follows:
All of that certain alley being twenty feet in width as
shown upon a,zap of Tract no. 1133 recorded in Miscellaneous Maps
book 369 Pages 13 and 14, Records of Orange County, California,
and being more particul rly described as follows, to wit.
Beginning at the most easterly corner of
Lot 9 of said Tract No. 1133; thence south-
easterly along the southeasterly prolongation
of the northeasterly line of said.. Lot 9 to the
most northerly corner of Lot 1C of said Tract
No, 11:33; thence southwesterly along the north-
westerly line of said Lot 1C to the most west-
erly corner of said Lot 10; thence northwesterly
along the northwesterly prolongation of the
southwesterly line of said Lot 10 to the most
southerly corner of Lot 7 of said Tract Igo. 1133;
thence northeasterly along the southeasterly lines
of Lots 7 6 and 9 of said Tract No. 1133 to the
point of LeglnMg; and,
28 Reserving an easement for ;public utilities
for the purpose of erection, laying, and con -
29 structing ,pipe lines with the right of going; in,
over, and under the t?aenty foot alley heretofore
30 described for the purpose of repairing, maintain-
ing$ and replacing said pipe lanes in, over, and
31 under, thrEt certain twenty foot alley heretofore
described.

is unnecessary for priaent or prospective public street or alley
purposes, and now mares its order vacatin4; said certain alley
above described.
The City Council further orders that the City_Clork of
the Lity of Newport Beach shall cause .a certified copy of this
Order, duly attested by him as the City (Aerk, under the seal of
the City, to be recorded in the office of the County leeorder of
Orange County, ;state of California, imwediately following the
passage of this Resolution._
The above and foregoing resolution to. was duly
passed and adopted at a regular nooting of Chet Lity Council of
