1 WhlatFAS, a special municipal election was held and conduct -
2 ed in the City of :dewy ort beach, Oranj;e County, California, on
3 Tuesday, the 7th day of December, 1954; and
411 W.*1W d;tw, it appears that notice of said election was duly
.5 and regularly given; that voting precincts were properly establish-
6 ad; that election officers were appointed and election supplies
7 furnished and that in all respects said election was held and
8 conducted and t" votes cast tiaereat received and canvassed and
9 the returns thereof made and declared in time, form and manner
10 as required by the laws of the State of California, governing elect
11 ions in cities of the sixth class; and
12 WHLREAS, the City Cauucil of the City of Newport beach
13 et at the Council Ch"ibers of the City Council on Tuesday, the
14 4th day of December, 1954, at the hour of 4sOO o'clock p.m. of
15 said day, to canvass the returns of said election and install the
16 ewlq elected officer, as a result of which the City Council of
17 aid City finds and determines that the number of votes cast and
18 ther matters required by law to be as hereinafter stated;

20 election was held and conducted in the City of Newport Beach on
21 Tuesdays the 7th day of Decembers 19549 in times form and manner as
22 equired by law; that there were seven (7) voting precincts es-
23 tablished for the purpose of holding said election, consisting
24 of the thirty -six (36) regular election precincts for holding
25 eneral stEte and county elections, as follows, to wits
