RESOLUTION NO.�
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CONTRACT PROVIDING FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH IN THE STATE EMPLOYEES'
RETIREMENT SYSTEM, MAKING THE EMPLOYEES MEMBERS
OF SAID SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the Board of Administration of the State
Employees' Retirement System and the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach entered into a Contract effective on April 1, 1956,
providing for the participation of said City of Newport Beach in
the State Employees' Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable to take advantage of certaini
benefits provided under said Retirement System, and not included
in said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said City Council
authorized, and it does hereby authorize, an amendment to said
Contract, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto marked
"Exhibit A ", and by such reference made a part hereof as though
herein set out in full; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf
of said City of Newport Beach.
The above and foregoing Resolution No.y duly
and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the /a -V6
