A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE RECEIPT OF A COPY
OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO.CIRCULATE PETITION FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED ASXWSTIN
AVENUE AND 22nd STREET ANNEX" AND AN AFFIDAVIT OF
PUBLICATION THEREOF AND APPROVING THE CIRCULATION
OF THE PETITION,
WHEREAS, on A,,, 7 1956, there was filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach a copy of Notice of
Intention to circulate petition relating to annexation of certain
territory to the City of Newport Beach under the Annexation Act
of 1913 pertaining to territory designated as "Tustin Avenue and
22nd Street Annex ", accompanied by a written statement containing
reasons for the petition together with an affidavit of publicat
of said notice on the _�, 4 day of & Z ej, , 1956 in
the Newport Harbor News- Press; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation .Act of 1913 provides that the
legislative body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of
the notice approving the circulation of the petition3
NOW, TH8RE80R3,"3S IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
Newport Beach that the receipt of the notice, statement and
affidavit.aforesaid be and the same is acknowledged, and that
approval be and hereby is given for the circulation of the
petition for annexation of that certain territory designated as
"Mustin Avenue and 22nd Street Annex" twenty --one days after the
publication of said notice and statement.
The above and Toregoing Resolution No.Hy,s'8'was duly
and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof, held on the
