RESOLUTION N0. 4462
WHEREAS, pur itIto Notice Inviting Bids for the con-
struction of 460 lineal feet of 10" diameter vitrified clay
sanitary sewer main and of 245 lineal feet of 8" diameter vitrifi
clay sanitary sewer main, heretofore duly given, sealed proposals
and bids thereof were duly received, and at the time and place
set for such purpose, duly opened, and it appearing that the low-
est regular and responsible bidder is Edwin L. Barkley; and
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the.City
Council of the City of Newport Beach, a certain agreement dated
the day of March, 1956, by and between Edwin L. Barkley and
the City of Newport Beach providing for the construction of the
above described items;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said bid of said
Edwin L. Barkley for said construction of the above described
items for the sum of $11,219.00 be accepted and the same is hereby
awarded to Edwin L. Barkley; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Agreement in the name of and for and on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk furnish a duly executed
copy thereof to said Edwin L. Barkley.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regular-
ly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day of March,
1956 by the following vote, to wits
