ACCEPTING GRANT D
b1HMMS, there has been presented to the City of
Newport Beach a certain Grant Deed by Westeliff Company, the
same being dated April 30, 1956, and covering property for road
and utility purposes, said property being situated in the City
of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and
described as follows, to wits
A parcel of land 80.00 fet in width for road and utili-
ties purposes lying within a portion of Lot 104 of Block 53
of Irvine's Subdivision as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 1, Page 881, Miscellaneous Record Maps, records of
said Orange County, and a portion of Tract No. 1125 as shown
on a map thereof recorded in Book 39, Page 7, Miscellaneous
Maps, records of said orange County, the center line of
said 80 foot parcel of land being described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeasterly line of the
Orange County Flood Control Channel as conveyed to the
County of Orange by deed recorded April 7, 1954 in Book 2705
Page 539, Official ripcords of said Orange County, said
point being South 82 46' 11" (lest, 325.00 feet from the
radius point of the 350 foot radius curve as conveyed
to the County by said deed; thence South Se 46' il" west
228.27 feet to a point, said point being the point of
Intersection of a curve having a radius of 405.00 feet,
the radius point of said 405 foot curve being the radius
point of the 350 foot eurvS as conveyed to the County by
said deed; thence south 43 11' 42 hest (57.42 feet to
the end of a curve concave Westerly and having a radius of
800.00 feet, said end of curve being the Southerly end of
the 800 foot radius curve as shown on said map of Tract
No. 1125, said end of curve being a3so the center line of an
60 foot right of way deeddd to the County of Orange and
recorded in Book 401., Page 477, Official Records of said
Orange County, said end of curve being also the point of
Intersection of a curve concave southeasterly having a
radius of 1000.00 feet, a central angle of 1'76 43' 12"
and semi - tangents of 156.18 feet.
The side lines of said 60 foot parcel are to be
lengthened or shortened so as to begin on the northeasterly
edge of the said 50 foot Flood Control Channel and to
terminate on the easterly line of the 80 foot right of way
as deeded to the County of Orange.
AND WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of
the citizens of the City of Newport Beach to accept said Grant
Deed;
NOW0 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said Grant Deed
hereinbefore referred to and covering the said hereinabove
