WHIRMS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has
heretofore authorized the City Attorney to Quiet title to certain
real property in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange,
State of California, to-wit:
Lot 24, Block 48, in River Section; Lots 7, 10,
11, and 12, Block 50, in River Sectionf Lots 7
and 8. Block 51, in River Section Lot 110 Block
U
53, in River Section= Lots 7 and , Block 54 in
River Section; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and T.
Block 244, in Canal Section;
and,
iRMUS, the City of Newport Beach filed an action, Case
No. 58516, in the Superior Court in and for the County of Orange,
State of California, on July 2, 1952s the purpose of which action
was to quiet title to a portion of the hereinabove described real
property; and,
WHYS, it is necessary that the aforesaid action, Came
No, 58516, be dismissed without prejudice to the named defendants
therein, before the City Attorney may ir}stitute an action to Quiet
title to the hereinabove described real property;
NOW, TH11RBFORK, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach that the City Attorney is hereby authorized
to dismiss without prejudice the named defendants in that
action, Case No. 58516, filed in the Superior Court in and for the
County of Orange, State of California, on duly 2, 1952; and
BE IT :FURTHER RESOLVED, that Karl Lynn Davis, City Attorney
for the City of Newport Beach, be substituted as attorney of record
in the aforesaid action, Case No. 58516, in the place and stead of
Harry L. Blodgett, and that the mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to sign said substitution of attorney in the name of
and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
at a regular meeting thereof held on the JL. day of llj, e , ,
