WHEREAS, there has been presented to
the
City of Newport
3
Beach a Consent to Sublease dated December
21,
1956, wherein and
4
whereby the City of Newport Beach consents
to
the execution of a
5 sublease by the Newport Bay Company to the Atlantic Life Insurance
6 Company, wherein and whereby the Newport Bay Company subleases a
71 portion of the premises leased from the City of Newport Beach under
8� Lease dated March 24, 1948 as amended; and
9 WHEREAS, said Consent to Sublease contains, as Exhibit A, the
10 proposed Lease Agreement in which the said Newport Bay Company
11 subleases a portion of its premises to said Atlantic Life Insurance
12 company; and
13 WHEREAS, said Exhibit A, the Lease Agreement has in turn,
14 an Exhibit A which constitutes a plat of the property to be sub -lea;
15 by the Newport Bay Company to the Atlantic Life Insurance Company,
161 and also has Exhibit B to said Exhibit A0 which Exhibit B is the
17 proposed form of Agreement of Sublease between the said Atlantic
18 Life Insurance Company and the Newport Bay Company, wherein and
Life
19 whereby the Atlantic/Insurance Company agrees to sublease back to
20 the Newport Bay Company the portion of the demised premises which
21 is to be subleased by the Newport Bay Company to the Atlantic
22 Life Insurance Company after the Atlantic Life Insurance Company
23 has constructed certain residential units thereon; and
24 WHEREAS, by consenting to the Sublease by the Newport Bay
25 Company to the Atlantic Life Insurance Company, the City of New-
26 port Beach is also consenting to the Agreement -,)f Lease wherein and
27 whereby the Atlantic Life Insurance Company subleases the said
28 premises back to the Newport Bay Company; and
29 WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of the
30 citizens of the City of Newport Beach that the City of Newport
31 Beach execute said Consent to Sublease dated December 21, 1956.
32 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City

Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hreby
authorized and directed to execute said Consent to Sublease
dated December 21, 1956, and to transmit five executed copies
thereof to the Newport Bay Company,
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach at a regular adjourned meeting thereof, held on the 21st
day of December, 1956, by the following vote, to wit:
